JOAN COLLINS

Joan Collins, now 87, is, of course, a household name, a world-famous actor who has been awarded an OBE for her work and has aged ever so gracefully. TV enthusiasts gave her the credit of resuscitating the then-struggling soap opera Dynasty, which was heading towards cancelation during its second season. Daughter of a theater booking agent, she made her stage debut at the age of nine. She went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and wished for a successful future in Hollywood.

She was often given parts as a sultry and seductive woman in B-films because of her beauty. Despite doing her best, she was unable to reach mainstream Hollywood or land roles in major movies. She has made many guest appearances on television shows and low-budget films and has also pursued a career as a novelist. To date, she has published several novels, non-fiction, and memoirs, including the best-selling novel, Prime Time. Her diet recommends having nuts, cooked chicken, and broccoli in the fridge to stave off hunger pains.
